You don’t have to travel far to take an unforgettable summer vacation this year! You and your family can experience the great outdoors with an overnight adventure at the Islands YMCA.

Have you been looking for an inexpensive fun-filled family trip? Well look no further than your own backyard. The Islands YMCA is proud to host their first Family Campout Friday, July 20th – Saturday, July 21st. Come out and experience classic camp adventures such as canoeing, archery, high ropes course, rock climbing, zip lines, campfire time, and sleeping under the stars at Camp Venture.

Friday night’s activities will include set up (beginning at 6:30 pm) followed by a canoeing, archery, slingshot range, and other camp favorites such as a bonfire where you can roast hot dogs and make smores. When you and your family rise Saturday morning you will have the chance to climb the rock wall, maneuver through the high ropes course, and cruise down the zip line, from 8 am – noon.

This campout is a unique way for your family to spend quality time together while trying new things. All you need to bring is a tent, sleeping bag, snacks, and any additional camp gear you desire…we’ll provide the fun! The cost for this outdoor adventure is only $15 per family.

For more information and to sign up for the Family Camp Out stop by the Islands YMCA located at 66 Johnny Mercer Blvd or call 912.897.1192. This will be an experience you will not want to miss!
