Savannah Derby Devils Vs. Appalachian Roller Girls
July 14: 5 p.m. Hostess City Hellions vs. Boone, NC; 7 p.m. All Stars vs. Jacksonville, FL. The Savannah Derby Devils take on the Appalachian Roller Girls of Boone and the Jacksonville Rollergirls in the third bout of the season at the Savannah Civic Center. This family-friendly event offers two back-to-back bouts, lots of activities for kids, raffles and roller derby merchandise. Raffle proceeds will go to the night's sponsored charity, the Rape Crisis Center. Tickets: Adults $12-16; Kids 2-12 $2; Kids under 2 are free.

Free Children’s Choir Concert
7 p.m. July 17. Ellis Square. This free one hour concert features members of the Cincinnati Children’s Choir, Statesboro Children’s Choir and the Savannah Children’s Choir. All are part of the inaugural Coastal Song Children’s Choir Festival. Traveling from Savannah to Charleston these young singers, grades 7 through 12, are spending a week together sharing music, soaking up the rich history of these two southern cities and studying under two of the most highly accomplished and dynamic conductors in children’s choral music today.

Puppet People Summer Friday Shows
Puppet People will once again be hosting Summer Friday Shows, every Friday this Summer at 11 a.m. Shows will include Back Stage Pass Tour and a Puppet Craft. Shows and Puppet Craft may vary. The Puppet Place, 3119 Furber Ave. Cost: $10 per person. Ask about our free club card and make sure to get it stamped. After you get 5 stamps for seeing 5 shows you will be able to see the 6th for FREE.

Free Ice Cream at Leopold's
4 p.m.- 7 p.m. now through July 30, Leopold's Ice Cream, 212 E. Broughton Street. Children 12 and under who can recite the Pledge of Allegiance from memory will be rewarded with a free child's scoop of Leopold's ice cream.
