OMG! She said thank you - twice
I could not believe it! My daughter said the words “thank you”. This is the same child, while as sweet as she can be, is not one for showing gratitude.
As a matter of fact, my 10-year-old shows no emotion – unless she gets extremely upset about something. (Or really, really, really excited.) She doesn’t talk too much. She doesn’t like hugs or kisses. Honestly, these days she doesn’t like to be touched at all.
For example, she got a PSP for her birthday. She was so excited that she hugged her little sister!! I could not believe my eyes. I wish I had videotaped that moment because it probably won’t happen again anytime soon. My younger daughter was so happy she asked her big sister for a kiss too. I think she was pushing her luck with that one.
Apparently my daughter loves her classmates. They’re taking a class picture at school and she really wanted a copy of the picture. Last night I told her I would give her the ten bucks to get it and she said thank you. Then, this morning she said it again. “Mommy, thank you.”
I wonder when I’ll hear those words again.
