My girls and I have been waiting for several weeks now for the release of Disney's The Princess and the Frog.

We couldn't wait to see it. We even brought my husband along - afterall isn't it history in the making? Tiana is Disney's first African-American princess.

Disney didn't disappoint. We loved everything about it. It was a special surprise for us because Tiana dreamed of owning her own restaurant - and my girls love to cook.

I was especially glad that Disney didn't try to get all fancy with this one and make it into a 3-D movie or some other kind of special animation. It was perfect just like it was.

Now we can't wait to go to Disney World and meet her in person!
